Power Tech regulator

Are there any good voltage regulators available for the 10k power tech generator other than sourcing them from Power Tech?
$485 seems a bit much, but considering the cost of a new stator it may not be worth going to another source. 🤷‍♂️

Even the one from Power Tech needs to be wired according to the instructions that come with it. Copying the original wiring can lead to smoking the head in some cases.

Here are the numbers for the regulator Product No. 9166800136 and Cat No. AVC63-4.
As Chuck has said it's critical on how its wired. When I change mine Jeff ran the procedure
through with me and after I had it installed he told me to phone him again before I started
the generator. When I phoned him back he had me run though everything I did, so he is
thorough. If you run the cat. no. in google you will find them  under one hundred dollars.
It's finding the old numbers that is the most confusing as to finding the numbers on the wires.

Making me feel I should put a caution placard on the old regulator to proactively prevent burning it up. Actually think I will print up several.
