Microphore Issue

I have discovered that I need to replace the wax ring on our 2001 Microphore LF229.
I am asking if I need a special ring, as the standard wax ring you get at the big boxes, failed.
Also, is this something I need to get from ED at Wabtec ? I liked Mullaney, but they sold  to Ed??

I STILL hate my toilet and would like to replace it. I think I would have to use a 45 Degree offset to get a replacement in. I will be redoing the flooring in the bathroom, this summer, so this would be a good time to replace the unit. I looked up Aria Deluxe ll, but not available. Any good suggestions??
Thanks

We replaced our Microphor with the Aria Deluxe II  about three years ago and have been quite well pleased with it. I would recommend you do the same.

I replaced the wax ring on my microphor toilet. When the PO had tile put in the wax ring that was installed was not the right one and leaked odors. I was one of the first things I fixed.

I called FOT to make sure of an appropriate replacement. The factory advised me to make sure I used a reinforced wax ring as replacement. When I went to the wax ring store I found many options. Look for the reinforced one. It will probably not be the least expensive. I replaced it in 2011, no issues since.

Of course my coach is 2000 year so it's probably different.

Good luck,

Thanks for the replies.
I would like to replace with the Aria Deluxe ll, but I am concerned about the distance of the outlet to the black tank. I have a 36' U320, with the toilet at an angle. I have read, in previous posts, that it isn't a simple exchange. I don't mind the idea of modifying the plumbing, but what DSD did was a little too " over the top " for me. Bending PVC isn't on my radar.

ALSO...I tried to call ED at WABTEC  707-598-6216, but get a recording. I am in Mexico, until mid May, so getting any parts sent to me would be too time consuming.

I will try conventional ring again, until I get back to the States. By that time, I will be a pro at install/remove the commode.
I have already done it at least 6 times already.

Thanks, Pierce.
Problem is finding a source for the parts. Ed doesn't seem to answer the phone.

I just got off Thetford site to look at Aria Deluxe ll specs and look into  their two different Tecma macerated types. None of the specs show distance from the back of the commode to the outlet or two floor bolts. How am I to know if I have to modify something without these dimensions??!!!!???

Update: I just looked at the owners manual for the Aria ll.....it seems it is 11" from back wall to center of wax ring. Our measure for the Microphor is 8.5 inches. That is a BIG difference. If memory serves me right, the standard in houses is 12" to center.
Let me know if there is a replacement that makes sense. We do not want something I would need to replace in the near future.

I would like to know where I can find parts for a  LF 229. I can only find reference to LF 220??

I replaced the Microphor in our 1995 40ft U320 with an Aria II and it fit perfectly on the existing toilet flange regarding spacing from the cabinet behind it. The mounting bolt holes are different from the Microphor and the overall footprint is smaller but the distance from the wall was perfect.
