I simply use a BatteryMinder-AGM and plug it into my chassis cigarette lighter when the coach is plugged into any power.  It has a smart maintainer charge and a pulse feature.  It's worked for me for 5+ years.  Optimas doing fine.

I have one of those units on my 3 coach batteries (8D GEL) and I think my batteries are 6-8 years old. they are charged by 480 watts of 12 volt solar. i would verify that, but here in TUCSON it is 95 degrees and too damn hot to do it. Maybe after 9P. Maybe...
We are very seldom plugged in to shore power. I also use a portable induction cook-top for meal prep to save propane as I only have an 80 gallon tank.
