Step Light Removal

I'm trying to replace the step light in our 94 U300, however, after unscrewing the light housing it still seems to be stuck in there. Does anyone know a trick (or the proper way) to get the light out so I can replace it? Thanks!

Are you just trying to replace the bulb? It should just pull right out. It's just being held in there by spring loaded clip.

On mine, if you want to remove the whole thing you actually need to do it from the outside on the other side of that wall. You should see the wires running into it and it is held in there by a big gob of silicone and possibly some screws with washers.

check out the the site Superbright LED website. Search LED Deck and Step. Several there that looks like they will fit. I used LPC-R4W LED Eyelid Step. Fit my round lights in the hall and step well perfectly

Thank you. I do see the blob of silicone on the other side of the wall. Going to be more of a challenge to replace then I expected.
