I may be selling my 2000 U320.... advice..

We purchased our 2000 U320 (120k miles) with the intention of keeping it forever, but things change.

My question is what is the best way to determine the listing price? The coach is in great condition mechanically, but the PO stripped the paint, and aesthetically on the outside needs some work.

I know for many the paint condition is a deal breaker.  We did not care about that, as the PO was a Cummings Mechanic and we felt like the powertrain was solid.

Immediately after purchase, we did the following to ensure it was road ready:
Replaced:
Rear tires,
All air bags, suspension
Slide Seal, and Airblock controller.
Engine Oil/Transmission fluids/all belts
Hydraulic Fan/engine cooling service.
Hydraulic Pump
New Exhaust/resonator
rubber seals in water block proactively.
New wall tile in Kitch, bath
New convection oven microwave.

Inspected Serviced/ Works great!:
Generator
Dometec fridge
Aqua Hot serviced
House AC/Heat pump/furnace
Bulkhead, undercarriage bolts
Awning

What is left on my list of restorations:
Fiberglass damage around front headlight, and on rear engine bay door cover, from PO.  I was thinking headlight conversion.
PO striped the graphics, she is all white.
new front windshields. a few blown seals on double pain windows

We have taken many trips since and other than the fan issue it's been rock solid.

I don't really want to haggle, I just don't want this poor girl to sit.  What's a fair price to move it quickly given the paint condition? Should I sell below NADA?

2000-2001 are sought after years, so I'd start high.

The body condition probably negates the big ticket items you replaced and then some. Two years ago when I bought my 01, $78k would have been way too high but given what's happening in the RV industry right now, and an apparent uptick in Foretravel interest, it wouldn't surprise me if you managed to get close to that.

MOT has a 36' 2001 on consignment for $78.5k right now. The fact that it even made it to the lot probably means there's something wrong with it.

The coach as MOT says "Sale Pending." Didn't last long.

Well, for a time all RV's were selling like hotcakes. But inflation is going nuts. Interest rates are up and going higher.  Fuel is expensive and a big recession is forecast.

So one might bare that in mind. Might want to send it down the road quickly.

Agree with everything bigdog said.
Also think some folks stepped back during the crazy RV price days knowing it wouldn't last.
That sidelined money should start creeping back out soon.

First throw out the NADA book, doesn't work for old FTs. There is a very small market for 22 year old non slide coaches, given the inflationary time we are in I don't think big  Rv are flying off the shelf. Case in point looked at a 2008 42' high end coach 3 mos ago 200k, price now 124k that is at a dealership including new tries and batteries. The outside condition is going to drive the sales price more than anything else, as they say looks is everything. You just need to throw a price out there and see what happens

A 2000 might be less than a 2001 due to a new dash design, full length ducted AC, and updated interior styling that started in 2001. They both are still 20+ year old coaches.  Curb appeal is quite important. And the interior Wow! factor is too.  That gets them seriously thinking. Then they start asking about mechanical stuff, batteries, tires, air bags, shocks, fuel line, basement floor, and service history.

A knowledgeable buyer will have a pretty good idea of what prices are and what they consider plusses and minuses to that price point. I would guess many buyers are not going to finance but cash from investments right now is brutal.

You might get new windshield using insurance and a professional fluff and buff exterior detail might make the sale price go up and time to sell go down.  Time to sell might be more important.

Interior is in good shape, with the new tile on the walls, fully tiled floor.  The Dash AC works great, and the overall dash was just re-done.  Ours has the living room slide and it is fully ducted.

But yes, Exterior shiny-ness does seem to be what people want.  Maybe a trip to Puerto Penasco is in order.

Precision Auto Clean in Nacogdoches did out coach, a three day event and it was spectacular.  Probably twice now what we paid 8 years ago but might just be what it needs.  Call and ask.  There are others that can do a similar job I am sure.
