What is this ?

My Black Tank valve starting getting hard to pull on our last trip, so I decided to go ahead and replace the Grey and Black Tank valves.
( Fun Job  :-\ )  While I was doing the job, I noticed that this sensor ? is on both tank outlet pipes.
Is this the sensor for the monitor ?  And if so, how does it know the tank level from this outlet pipe ?

2 The weight of fluid, this is a pressure transmitter.

Yes it is and tied to the javelin system. I would assume its pressure sensitive but dont actually know. Was planning on swapping mine out to the sea level system to delete the CRT indicator and have dual indications

Thanks Guys, I assumed that what it was for, just didn't quite understand how it worked.  My plan is to put in the See Level some day, but the present system is working fine, so that's for another day !
I do plan on making some aluminum or stainless panels to replace the stock panels.  Also, have a plan to make it a little easier access for the future.
