Rotating Toilet Flange

I'm in the process of upgrading my Microphor to a Dometic 320. In order to do so, I need to rotate the flange to accommodate the 2-bolt mounting pattern of the 320. However, it appears that the flange, or rather the tube on the bottom end, is glued to the black tank and I'm unable to remove or rotate it. I assume that is done to prevent black tank odor from escaping. I know a bunch of you have done this already so what am I missing? What are my options?

Edit to clarify: I cannot remove the flange. It'll pull up a little but it wants to "spring" back down in place as if the plastic is bending/stretching; this is why I assume it's glued to the black tank but I could be wrong.

Check Home Depot for an adapter plate.  Seems I had to use one.

Can you just drill and install two new Stainless Steel Hanger Bolts?

Elliot mine was just in a rubber bushing once it was broken free would rotate without issue.

Lift it up a little wrap in a old rag and give it a twist

When we replace commodes with new ones, the hardware store has a kit that screws into wood with a machine screw/washer for the toilet to sit on. Easy to do and won't compromise your black tank/pipe

I took my Sawzall and took a series of cuts on the inside of the flange, but short of going thru the flange wall into the tank pipe.
Then I took a screwdriver and cracked the flange and it came loose from the black pipe.
Really easy if you go slowly and carefully.

Scott was right. I put a really big oil filter wrench on it and was able to slowly turn it to the orientation I needed. The install went super quick after that.

That looks good. Ive been quite pleased with ours. I always suspected the microphor would break away from home. Never trusted it. I can honestly say it operated 100% perfect.

Scott,

Once you learn how to operate it (learn what not to do) the Microphor toilet is a pretty good appliance. (knock on wood).
Two rules: Never push on the flap and store your coach with the flap Open....don't ask me how I know all this.

I too have the microphone and besides having the pain of setting the water level(super touchy) it works well. That being said I am aware that I may have to change it out. I am looking at replacing it with the aria deluxe 2

The Microphor is an expensive war of attrition. I never should have futzed with it as much as I did. If you have my bathroom layout, there's not a single thing you can fix on the Microphor that isn't about the same amount of time as just replacing it completely. For 0.30 coach bucks, Walmart delivered my 320 in two days and I was done with it.

It was a cool head though... kind of like the Ferrari of toilets.

The parts were the cost of Ferrari too. Never seemed logical how the parts were so expensive.

I replaced our Microphor with an Aria Deluxe II and I've been pleased.
