Anyone know part number / source for bay door latches used on sides of the bay?

Anyone know part number / source for bay door latches used on sides of the bay?

Not broken spring -- but the spring may be weak -- latch sticks in lock position with handle pulled.

Larry,

If it is just a broken spring you can take that one apart and install a new spring. I will have to get IT department head to look around and see if she can find the how to thread on repairing one of those.

Larry,

IT head has found what M was talking about.
Here is a link to how we are able to disassemble and repair these.  Scroll down a couple of post to see the pics.

I'm not able to fix the latch - more than a broken spring.  So still looking for source of a new/used working one.  These latches are used on the hinged bay doors on my coach.

Thanks

While at FOT this fall, I tried to find some.  They come in left and right handed models.  FOT had lefts in stock but rights are no longer in production.  They are stamped with either a "L" or "R".  Looks like you need a "L" so you are in luck if FOT still has them.

I was able to clean mine and do some adjustments to improve the operation.

Larry is this the latch for the narrow doors behind the rear wheels? The geometry can be corrected and they will work again.

On my coach, they are used on all the bay doors and the engine hatch.  Some doors require 2 and smaller doors need one.

I have a broken L left lock and can't be repaired.  Called FOT and no more.  Anyone else have a link to a supplier of these?

Thanks George;  I went on the site and they have some that are close, but not sure if they will work.  I have contacted them and will post what I find.

UPDATE:  TriMark did reach out to me this morning and they have nothing that will replace this locking mechanism.  So, right now, everyones best bet is to go to a salvage yard for any parts that are unavailable.

Chuck, the centric lever that was attached to the side of the bracket that the long arm released the pin to open the door.  If you look closely at the photo, you will see where it broke off, which is flush to the side of the bracket.  Hope that makes sense.  I don't see a way of welding it.  It is mostly pot metal as well.

Joe, do they have more?  Never considered them, since most all parts they get straight from FOT.

I would give them a call.  We had a bad latch on one door that was sticking and I asked them to replace it.  They did it the same day, so I assume they had the part in stock.
