Re: Black or Grey tank Reply #1 – May 22, 2022, 04:43:14 pm Are your tanks full? If not just open one valve and flush the toilet if you see water then you'll know. On my 88 the black tank was on the left if your tank is on the left or driver's side It is also that way on my 2000.Larry Quote Selected

Very little use since I got the MH last May. The grey is 1/2 full and the the Fresh water is about 1/2 now with Clorinated water.Where I am I can run the grey into the dirt, not the black! Re: Black or Grey tank Reply #7 – May 22, 2022, 07:15:16 pm Usually dumping your gray tank on the ground would be frowned upon....nasty stuff in there. Quote Selected
Re: Black or Grey tank Reply #8 – May 22, 2022, 07:34:18 pm Most likely the tank directly under the toilet will be the black tank.Mark Quote Selected
Re: Black or Grey tank Reply #9 – May 22, 2022, 07:35:09 pm I must say I really like dumping my potable into the gray tank and with the third valve backwashing the black tank. It makes a huge difference in the drain water clarity Scott Quote Selected

Whichever looks like the easiest job. The "beauty panels" are just in the way of seeing what is really going on in that bay. It's much nicer to be able to visually inspect the plumbing and watch for leaks. Quote Selected

Re: Black or Grey tank Reply #14 – May 26, 2022, 06:24:35 pm OK, Got a clear 90° fitting with an adapter and took a chance . Turns out the Grey (Mostly H2O as I added some bleach and flushed the tank and lines) is the one in the center of the compartment. Black is all the way to the right. I live in the woods so just ran the Grey down the hill! Thanks for all the help:) Quote Selected
