Bay floor cleaners

Looking for advice before I go out and purchase a bunch of cleaners that do not work.
I had some work done on my Aqua hot which involved pulling out the heater etc. Unfortunately (and I am not to happy about) the floor got dirty with some black grease residue and such from leaving the heater on the floor.  I would like to clean it up but do not want to use excessive amounts of water. Suggestions??

Agreed, you do not want to use any water that could get to the edges of a basement compartment.

Are you wanting to clean the white FG or the short, gray covering?

I have used this on the ceiling carpet and it seems to work well. Might do a good job on the bays.

I fine super clean really works and if you have a wet vacuum you could wet it down and
suck up all the water with that

Resolve carpet cleaner has worked well for me in the past.
Worst case you can always replace the carpet, it's not expensive stuff.
I believe it's available at Lowes etc.

If you really keen on cleaning I'd recommend you think about a dehumidifier. Dehumidifiers aid in the removal of excess moisture from the air. This is especially useful if you live in a humid environment or have recently experienced a leak or flooding in your house. Mold and dust mites flourish in damp environments, producing allergic responses and exacerbating severe asthma symptoms.

I got an InvisiPure Hydrowave Dehumidifier from Amazon Good price, extended warranty. Has a large holding tank for moisture removed, when not camping and parked at home I place it on the kitchen counter and hook a short piece of garden hose to the drain and let it drain in the kitchen sink (have a 40 gal waste tank to collect it). When camping in the winter I run it on the kitchen counter to keep the humidity down. It is adjustable as to the level of humidity you want and akso shows the current humidity. We love it. In the warmer weather it is not needed as the A/C dehumidifies the RV.
