screw

Is this there for a good reason?  It was installed about one foot from the front of the passenger side gutter-drip rail.  It has been there for a while.  It has the body paint on the head, which is at least seven years old.  It was not just sitting there - maybe 1/4 inch threaded through the bottom of the gutter.

All it SEEMED to do was trap debris, so water would drip down, soak the awning, and drip downs the entry door.

I too puzzled about that random looking screw placement... I came to the conclusion that it is there to lock in the the ZipDee key into the awning rail. Maybe Foretravel felt the crimps weren't sufficient to secure the awning key.

When I called Zip Dee about my awning shifting they told me it should have a sheet metal screw at each end. They sent me for free a set of stainless screws for each awning.
