THIN-LITE 162CP

I'm trying to replace the florescent tube in the porch light with LED strips.  But, I can't figure out how to get the black plastic ends off the fixture.  I see what looks like a small plug on the end, but not sure if I could drill these out or try to pry the ends off.

Take off the 2 plugs and you will see the screws.

Squeeze the lens carefully, start and one end and work across.  There are a couple screws inside that hold the light to the wall, and a couple of pop rivets that hold the inverter to the aluminum extrusion.

I wanted to keep mine original but the transistor in the replacement inverters doesn't have a proper heat sink.

Well it's been a productive Sunday, in spite of the 103 degree heat.

I figured I would have to drill the plugs out, since I couldn't pry them out.  So I drilled a small hole in it and was going to put a screw in it so I'd have something to grab.  But I found a small piece of a screen door latch and as I screwed it into the plug it pushed the plug out without any effort on my part.
After drilling out the pop-rivets, I installed two LED lights I purchased from Lowe's.
It all came together and looks good.  Once it gets dark I see how well it lights up the porch.

I would post some photos but have no idea of how to do it.

Here ya go Tim.  The two lights fit very well in the Porch Light and once the sun went down we were impressed with the illumination.

I hope this screen shot comes thru, but if not I'll try again...

That light is interesting.  Where did you get the frame? I noticed it is an interior light

It is the porch light on my coach, all I did was remove the fixtures for the florescent tubes and replaced them with the LED lights I got at Lowes.
