Transynd question

I am wanting to change the fluid and filter in the Allison. I have a gallon of transynd on the shelf leftover from the change I did on our old coach..  Does anyone know if the new latest and greatest transynd 668 is compatible with the old transynd? I would like to use it if it is to save a couple of 💵..  The research I've done says it's backwards compatible so I assume if 1 of the 9 gallons is the old  transynd  295 I shouldn't be a problem. Am I thinking right? I would hate to recycle it if I can use it.....

They made it backward compatible as you have searched;

I have been trying to find out how many quarts are left in the torque when the trans is drained. Can't find
any data on that. I could find that the trans holds 48 quarts and if 9 gallons is what you need to change the
oil that would leave 12 quarts in the torque. I just changed the oil in my transmission and all I can say is the
trans is shifting smoother.

Correct.  Backwards compatible and an improved product (per retired Allison engineer who developed Transynd).

The old Transynd was in there and replaced it with 668.
