1991 Grand Villa 7 way plug

Has anyone installed a 7 way plug on a 90s model coach? All should have a 3way plug for turn, brake and signal lights but I will be needing the brake to work also. I know I'll need a brake controller and assuming I'll need to run a wire back for the electric brake any more suggestions?

Yes, except not the RV style. I used the class 8 truck connector. Also use a coiled cord from a truck from U280 to toad. I think a much better system.

Our 1993 had a 7-pin connector already on the coach.

DRP,

That wire should be hidden in one of the wire looms at the back. The other end should be hidden in a wad of wires under the dash to the left of the steering column.

You may have a harness tucked away in the driver side  fender  ,near the tail light .  If not, you will need  to install a Diode box that takes all of the lights and combines them into 3 circuits .  Mine is at the LR corner and leads to the 7 plug.
I cheated on the brake controller.  I installed mine in the    LR corner  and just set the power determined by how much is on the trailer .    It works fine for me.  I also disconnected the brakes on the trailing axle after  watching the trailer search for the ditch along the  highway  exit road , in the rain . Much better now.
