Agreed-Value Insurance

Our current insurance company will only insure our 1995 U320 for Actual Cash Value (ACV). It's in excellent condition with various upgrades and improvements and I'd prefer to avoid hassles in the event of a claim. I've read numerous reports of problems related to Foretravels and ACV insurance. I would really prefer to insure it for an agreed value. Has anyone had success in finding a company that will insure an older motorhome at an agreed value? Thanks in advance for any experience and recommendations.

Yes.  I've been able to insure at agreed value through Overland Insurance Services.  We're registered in Florida, but they write policies nationwide.  Best rate for us was through Progressive, but they write policies through sevral different companies.

We needed to have our 2002 appraised before Overland could quote Agreed Value.  We used James Polk..  He will send you a data sheet to fill out with info on the coach and any renovations, major repairs, etc. and also ask for recent pictures.

Progressive insured us initially for actual purchase price for first year.
Then on our second year we were told it would be ACV.
Started making phone calls to include overland but never heard back.
Got the coach appraised in the meantime with Pinnacle Auto who was recommended by MOT.
In the end I went through FCIS insurance in Iowa who got me a policy with Progressive( they had told me no directly earlier) for an agreed value .

Progressive, agreed value, did not ask for a valuation or appraisal, just asked how much, told them how much I paid and how much I spent and wanted it covered.
Cost about 60% more than a standard policy,
We did $65,000 for $1000 per year.

Apparently this depends on the state you are in.  I just tried to get a quote from Progressive for an agreed value policy for mine, and they do not offer it for NV.
