Unicoach Windshield Installation

My coach is currently getting two new windshields. One because a rock hit it and ultimately resulted in a pretty significant crack and the other because the shop broke it while trying to replace the one-piece gasket  :o This coach is the gift that keeps on giving!

This shop replaced the windshield with success last time so I went back to them however there's been some turnover there and I want to make sure it's being done right this time. What do I need to know or look for when I pick it up? I vaguely remember discussions about the right way to install these windshields but can't find them. Does it just float in the gasket or is an adhesive used (just on the top?)

I'm basically looking for a brain dump ... I don't know what I don't know.

Thanks all

I let ours move around as they like but others glue theirs in. Lots of opinions here. Original windshields from '93 with lots of off road adventures with body creaks and snapping noises but no glass cracks.

Good point that yours is a '93 which is a very different front end and windshield style than Elliot's 2001

I had both my windshields replaced in June this year. The new gasket gets glued to the glass and has to sit unmoved for 48 hours. They told me if it moved before the glue totally dried the glue would become a lubricant and bad things happen. The glass company is the first choice for my insurance company. They came over a hundred miles to install it in my driveway.
