Silver Leaf

Has anybody had problems with the Silver Leaf locking up and then after a bit it will start working
again. I also fine the Silver Leaf voltage reading is about .6 of a volt lower than what the voltage is.

Driving up to Whistler Sunday night it locked up at least three times. The program left the
screen once and I had to rebut it. That has happened every so often since I bought the coach.

My silver leaf locks up too when it does at my next stop I reboot it and it comes back on with the right trip miles and fuel reading I get a higher voltage reading than on dash gauge check it out with a voltmeter on batteries same reading as silver leaf  also the odometer goes out with a crazy reading and I reboot it  comes back

Same thing my VSMpc does. I keep a mouse on the dash and can usually fix it on the fly.

What version of the software are you running?  If you are running version 4, have you tried version 3?

What I mean as locking up is everything stops, none of the gages in the computer changed and
10 to 15 seconds everything starts working I don't have to do anything. The other thing is does is
disappear from the screen and for that I have to rebut it. I just have to push this icon my son set up
in the middle of the and it rebuts.

I will try version 4 when I get back home when my son can do it. It feels to me as if I lost
the connection and then it reconnects.

I had the same issues and found out if I leave the VSMpc running while I am fueling, it locks up and has to be rebooted.  Try turning unit off when you shut down engine and that should solve your issues.  I now do this when ever I shut engine down, the next step is shut down my VSMpc.  No more lock ups or crazy mileage issues!

Joe I have been turning it off every time I shut down. Last week I was going to get my son to
look at it again and forgot. He did some work on it today and I will see on Sunday night if it
helped and if it still locks up he will change the driver next weekend. I like to do one thing at
a time and then if it works I will know what fixed it.

I think mine used to do that on my laptop, but since switching to a windows pad no issues with it locking up, but issues with slow refresh.

It is version 4 that we are using and my son changed it to version three but only miles per hour
is on that one and that is no good for me. When he was working on it he said it locked up so
vibration isn't the cause. It seems to me it is acting as a automatic resettable brake is bad. I don't
have a wiring diagram for it and I wonder it it gets it's power thought a breaker.

Well finally got the Silver Leaf working. My son had been downloading the program
off the internet and the program was 4.8 and I finally found the program that came
with the coach and it is 4.4 and we have one computer that still has a disc drive so
he was able to put into my tablet and it seems to be  working great.
