1995 M11 Celect diagnostic port location (engine)

I'm attempting  to install my VMSpec system.
I'm having a com. problem and trying to isolate the problem.
I installed using the connection by the dash but receive an error message stating no connection between the engine and the JIB.
I thought I would try and plug in at the engine to see if the problem is the dash socket.

Its cold and nasty out so I was hoping somebody can tell me where to look for the engine diagnostic port, saving me from a crawl in cold mud. Hopefully I can reach it from the top.

Lon,

It will be seen when you raise the bed. Look on the passenger's side of the engine you will see the ECM. The connection will be right there in the wire loom in plain sight.

I see the connection.
 I hate pulling on old wires and plastic connectors. Is there an open connector in the back like in the dash location, or do I have to "clinch up" and pull the connector apart and attach the VMPsc connector?
