Porch Light Conversion

Ballast on the fluorescent porch light finally went belly up.  I converted to LED using a 12VDC LED Fluorescent light conversion kit from Blackhawk LED Lights, purchased at Camping World in Spring, TX.  Two 12 in strips come in one package.  I'm only 5 weeks out from a total knee replacement so working on the ladder was challenging and slow.  The removal of the fixture, cleaning and installing the LEDs was not too much trouble.  The supplied wiring harness if for a fixture with a switch so the two switch leads need to be connected together.  Lights come in soft white and bright white.  Total cost about $40.00.  Fun project, very satisfied and glad to be finished.

Looks really good. I did the same last month, but I used the same strips I have used inside the coach and did it without removing the fixture. It sure is a lot brighter.

Thanks. Going well so far except for trouble sleeping. But that is getting better. Looking forward to getting back on the bike and also hiking this summer.
