Cruising amp hour fuse

I've been trying to locate a two amp fuse for the cruising amp hour meter. I've looked on the schematics ,can't find it. So if somebody knows where it's at, please let me know.

I'm trying to figure out to what it is you are referring..............

 It's early.......I got nothing.

In our motorhome, there is a meter that tells you amps ,voltage,and amp hours. Next to that is a meter that tells you the voltage and one that says inverting ,charging voltage and amps. The meter that I'm looking for the fuse is ,Cruising Equipment Company, Amp hour meter. In the instructions it says to take the fuse out, so the amp power meter goes to zero. So this matches with full charged batteries. By doing this you match the batteries charge with the meter. I am sorry I have a hard time explaining things ,because of my parkinson's. But I do appreciate any help I can get.

No problem whatsoever.  Like I said, my brain is foggy in the morning...plus, I'm not familiar with all the electrical stuff in the newer coaches.

If you could post a photo of the panel it might help us answer your question.  Photo = many words.  :)

SO, this is purely a guess...does it look like there would be any easy way to access the back side of the meter in question?  That would be the first place I might think they would mount the fuse.

If that doesn't pan out, then the next step would be to try to trace the wiring for the panel.  At some point you might find a in-line fuse holder with either a tubular fuse (not likely these days) or a blade type fuse.

That's all I can suggest.  I suppose you have already exhausted any helpful hints in the literature.  Perhaps another Forum member will have better ideas.  Good luck!

Ok now that makes sense for a brand name.  Your coach may have come with a Freedom 20 inverter/converter and this meter was part of the system as a unit when the coach was built. IIRC that meter company went out of business of business long ago so there may not be any info but memory of old timers. Depending on which exact model meter you have some had that fuse in the back of the meter. You had to pull the meter out of the cabinet and remove the back to get to it. If you could post a pic. it may help others memory on this hunt.

That's what I've been working off of is the manual. I just haven't been able to find a fuse anywhere I've taken the meter off, looked on the back, looked  behind the other meters in that same board. I have looked down by the shunt.

In the wiring diagram I linked above, it shows the RED wire coming off the back of the meter is the power wire.  That is the one that should include the fuse.  So your best bet is trace that wire all the way to wherever it terminates.  Not always a easy task on our coaches, but it's part of the adventure!

I have one as well.  Those were and are highly regarded gear.  If you can't find the fuse you should be able to accomplish the same thing by disconnecting and reconnecting wires from back of the meter, most likely the red one.  That should reset it.

I took the meter off of the board and yes, there is a red wire in the back which is the power . But it has a permanent type crimp. I think I'll just mount an interrupter switch beside the meter. That way I can just push it and zero it out. The reason that I made kind of a big deal out of this is that ,we go to Alabama to my daughters, and they have a large driveway. And I take our 35 amp smart charger and hook it to the house batteries . when you do that it doesn't go through the meter ,so the meter keeps registering drainage. By doing this with a switch I can zero  out the meter and match full batteries.  Thanks for your help. All of you.
