[Upgrading from old style leveling sensor to newer circuit board style?}

With older foretravels (mine  is a 98) can the leveling sensor be changed out for the electronic one?

Possible, you might be able to get one to talk via analog to the existing HWH computer.

In my 1997 U295 the level sensor was located under the couch behind the drivers seat.  It has screws that could easily be adjusted once coach was level to have the sensor level.  That system in the 20 or so years I owned that coach it worked almost perfect.  The new digital ones are not all that easy to get adjusted correctly, at least for me.  Mine is off a little and I am afraid to touch it again in fear of making it worse instead of better.  The digital one seems to have a greater span where it things coach is level, of course this coach being  is longer so a small difference is really a bigger difference compared to my old 36' coach.

  U240 36' Sold to insurance company after melting in garage fire
    33' Foretravel on Dodge Chassis  Sold very long time ago

Thanks for the info. I just assumed the electronic one would be better. Nothing wrong with my system. I guess I will just stick with it!
