Pulling New Backup Cam Cable

Has anyone had success in pulling a new backup camera cable from rear to front?  Does cable run through the roof channel and come out above the TV?  Need to replace backup camera and cannot find the 8 pin adaptors anywhere.  Thanks for any advice / help you can offer.

Knowing this would be a PITA, I chose to go wireless.  Best of luck if you do run wire.

I went wireless too and will do so again in my Grand Villa when the time comes. We used this camera and I'm very happy with the quality: Amazon.com: AMTIFO RV Backup Camera Wireless HD 1080P 7'' Split Screen DVR...

Does the new camera have the 8 pin or the old cable? I believe that your coach came with a Panasonic camera. Also under the dash is a box where the old camera cable plugged into. It is called a mito box. You eliminate the mito box and then just use however many wires you need for the camera and butt connect the wires.

Forgot to add that Tim at RVCams understands the Panasonic system. Might contact him. Of course he is a lot more expensive.

I also added side cameras so I did run a new cable.  There's a chase at the top of the wall. You can run a fish wire thru it pretty easy and I added an extra wire just cause.

Elliott, thanks for the photos, very helpful.  i followed your link and see that the system is rated for 24 volts?  Also, how far apart are the antennas?  Mounting with the antennas may be a problem.  Not sure.

Quite a few write ups about pulling new cable for an upgraded rear camera, we followed what others have done and it was super simple.
Wireless is great but I prefer wired for that piece of equipment.
Probably a Ford vs Chevy type thing.

Ours runs off of 12v (both the camera and the display). The antennas on the back of the display are 3.5" apart and slightly offset to the passenger side of the coach

Reply #32 goes into detail. Used a vacuum with a string tied to a little piece of plastic bag as a parachute. It's a pain but doable. I pulled two coaxes. One roof mount one hitch for trailer hookup.
