Fill valve stuck open after cleaning

I took off my fill valve solenoid apparatus to clean because it took forever til fill.  I cleaned it and put it back together and put it back in the coach. When I turned the water on without the fill valve switch on it started to fill on it's own.
I turned the switch on and off a couple of times but it appears that the valve is remaining open.
The thing is it filled up faster than it ever did; less than an hour.
Any ideas.

Just armchair guessing here, so TIFWIW.

Perhaps the power wires were hooked up incorrectly?

One of you could listen to the solenoid, and feel it with your fingers, while the other turns the fill valve switch on and off.  Should be able to hear and feel the solenoid clicking open and closed.

If solenoid is not moving, then it could be a wiring/switch/power supply problem.  Check with multimeter (or test light) to verify power is getting to the solenoid when switch is activated.

If the problem is not electrical, then it is mechanical.  That means take the valve apart again and see what's wrong.

We did the solenoid test.  We hear it and feel it,

I will drain the tank and take it apart.  I think I put it in the right direction with the solenoid toward the back.
Thanks.

Well I had the diagram in backwards. (I just reversed it) It works fine now.
