Replace Reel Craft reel with Glenndining Reel

Anyone out here that did this and if so, how was the fit?  It looks really tight on mine and I know not all Foretravels are the same in the configuration of these bays.  I like the idea of not pulling my arm off and the push of the button to retract.  Any other issues anyone can comment on as well?

Joe, previous owner sold my hose reels so I put in new glendinning water reel as well as power. These are 12 volt powered. I'm not exactly thrilled with the setup that I put in but it was the best that I could do. I put the hose reel up against the water tank, and the power reel next to it and in front of. Works for me. Wasn't cheap but the previous owner had two very heavy power cables that I knew as I got older I would not want to deal with. I like it other than blowing a fuse once but that was my own fault.

Thanks Bob;  have been talking with Mike at Genndinning and we are looking at measurements to see if the hose reel will fit.  What source did you use for the 12 volt, as I think that unit uses a fair amount of power at start.

Joe what I did was ran some cables from where the batteries used to be on the driver side fuel Bay  all the way back to the wet Bay and put in a Blue Sea systems fuse box. Those cables are big and I have 150 amp circuit breaker on it. (The only one I had ) and then a 10 amp fuse I think for the water in electric reel. I also power the repeater for the air pressuring monitoring system for the wheels. And I have additional taps that I could use for other projects. Works for me. The end of the hose reel has a stop on it to keep the hose from going inside the reel, and I have to be careful that it doesn't catch on the end of the bay door or else that's how my fuse blew. But it's a simple process of replacing it.

Here's how it worked in ours. It has a Shoreline Reel for the power cord.  I added the shelf with the inspiration of Don to make room for the Wastemaster sewer hose. The Reelcraft swivel had some play in it (maybe normal?) and showed signs of leaking in the past so I just replaced it.  There is just enough room with the hose reel sitting back from the cord reel.  IIRC, this area is appx 19" wide.  I tapped into the 12v for the cord reel switch to power it.

I will think on this for awhile.  Thank you to all who responded and attached photos.  My ReelCraft is working fine for now, but will revisit this at a later date if necessary!
