Puerto Peñasco, David Muñoz Upholstery, May 2023

This trip started as a dental flight to Guadalajara on May 1 but when we did an online check in, our ticket was somehow for May 1, 2024. So, I went to FB Marketplace, bought an aluminum receiver rack, packed "Joad II" with the U300 sofa bed, house recliner, luggage, electric cooler and took off for Puerto Peñasco two days later.

We took our own material down for the sofa but picked out one from David's many samples for the home recliner. We downloaded Joann's coupons so bought a little over 8 yards with a 40 percent off plus end of the roll discount so the $49.95/yd material was just under $200. This is the material, Are You A Bot? but we had it done in horizontal rather than the vertical as pictured in the website. It's very durable as the wolf made a couple of tears in the OEM fabric. We are about to take a family vacation to June Lake so we wanted to have the interior looking as good as possible for the kids. Both the back and bottom used up almost 8 yards of material with not quite enough for the drawer and front so we will buy another yard.

You will need to get together with David for what you need and a time frame. Ours took about 5 days to complete and we left at 3pm  last Wednesday and got into Lake Havasu City late. 3 days home total. David did our front seats in 2014 and they still look better than new.

I have lots of photos and videos and will make a YouTube video of everything in about a month.

Please post questions.

David does very good work.  We're very pleased with the results.  He did our seats, dinette, sofa and all the valances.  Be aware, we found he's not the best at communication and providing updates, but did a nice job.

If I was doing fabric again, I would do what Pierce did and bring my own.  What he had was OK, but the selection was a bit limited.
