Ladder repair

I saw an old rusty bolt used to hold my ladder tight and so I decided to replace it with
stainless and when I pulled it apart the pipe inserts were shot. One was a epoxied in and
the other was just a nut floating around loose. Cleaned out the epoxied one and then
went to a bike shop to get new star nuts. They are used in the headset in a bike. On a
internet search all I could find them were for bikes.

I found it easier to just drive the old nuts in deeper and install new ones.
