Rear camera and monitor replacement

I just finished replacing my rear camera and monitor on my coach.  I replaced it with a Voyager system from RVCAMS.COM.  It was an unbelievable simply process... . I reused the existing cable, spliced on new ends and bingo - everything works... :-). I also bought side cameras but I have not installed those yet - they need a bit more "thinking" LOL

I probably spent more time disconnecting and tearing out the old Javelina system then I did installing the new equipment..

Tim and team at RVCAMS.COM were great - I sent them pictures of what I had and they put togther a complete quote with everything I needed - highly recommend!!

That's not the cheapest way to do it, but it saves a lot of time searching the internet for all the right adapters and piecing it together but by bit.  I spent a lot of time figuring out how to do it. You also can be confident it will work when you're finished.

I so enjoy being able to see when my coach and toad are "clear" to make a lane change. Huge upgrade for driving safety in my experience.  I haven't added a side camera. Will be interested to know where you end up placing yours.

I installed the Tadibrothers Wireless camera system a month ago and am very happy. I was able to use the bracket that held the Panasonic camera and have the remote antenna in the cabinet over the bed. All I needed was 12V that I used the old wiring to take from the dash switch so the system comes on when the radio gets turned on.
I mounted the display in the dash and when I first turned it on I had a super clear view before I had the antenna attached. I now have the display antenna mounted right on the display and the rear camera antenna remote mounted using the cable provided in the bed overhead cabinet.

My first trip using it went trouble free, so much better than the dim original...

Side cameras
I used IR cameras and really like the entire system and the fact that it is switched to the sales man switch. It's recording the entire time.
My side cameras ended up surprisingly hi to eliminate passing traffic head lights glaring at the camera. The IR cant have anything in front of them or they will reflect the light back into the camera making them auto dim down and worthless. Man is it nice to know what's in your blind area. Highly recommend the side.

Has anyone found a backup camera system with side sensors to give an audio alert when close to something on the side (mainly passenger side) like a construction barrier? I need to replace my single din original radio and backup camera/monitor anyway so I would prefer it to be a single din dash mounted radio/monitor. I have seen several radios that will accept up to 3 camera signals but I am not looking for a visual image on the sides but an audio beeping or something like in some car models. Any comments or suggestions appreciated.

Wouldn't it need to be triggered by a turn signal or something ,else it would constantly be going off.  I know the one in our Jeep has saved us a time or 2.  Now if it had a visual arrow or icon like thing that showed up when i was thinking about switching lanes.  Then I'm in.
  I imagine if it's not out there now, it will be soon.  Just needs to connect to the 4 pin side cameras that i already installed
