Electric question

I plug into my shop 15-20 amp plug with a 12/3 100 ft cord. Been doing the same thing for years now.
Today I get the red light on the volt meter ,reversed polarity,  and the voltage read a little low .    I unplug .  I try another shop plug. Same.
I start the genset and the light goes out .
Any ideas? Thanks. Mm

Mike,

What does your voltmeter indicate when you check the outlet itself?

If OK, check at the coach-end of the shore power cord.  Keep working toward the coach main 120 VAC breaker box until you find the issue.

End of cord reads 124.
Meter reads 112. I'll check the outlets with my
Meter.
I reset all of the shop breakers and the red light went out.

Sound like a bad ground wire possibly in your cord.
Ground prong good?

Without a good ground it won't know polarity.
