Freshwater Tank Fill Issues

Hey all, this issue may have been covered on here already, but I'm dealing with so many issues I'm getting overwhelmed going down the repair search rabbit hole.. I own a 2001 4010 U295. She's a.... She's an uhmmmmm... she's quite rough around the edges... & frame.. & interior... & well basically everywhere.. She reminds me of the movie Gremlins if it took place inside an RV.. but alas here we are & I'm doing what I can to fix 'er up.. main issue I'm dealing with rn is, when I go to fill the freshwater tank, I have the city water hooked up, turn on the fill switch located in the same plumbing bay, & water just shoots out the adjacent side from what I'm gathering is the overflow pipe.. it's like a white/green 2in discharge pipe coming from the top and on into the tire bay behind. Now I've discovered there a massive gash in the pipe thats already been haphazardly patched atleast once... but I'm confused as to why the tank wouldn't fill even a little bit before getting to that stage of the process. Am I doing something wrong, do I have pump, vacuum issues, etc...? Any insight is greatly appreciated as I'm at a loss at this point...

You are SURE the tank isn't already full? That green/white overflow tube you mention is attached at the top of the freshwater tank and the fill is at the bottom.

You should be able to pop off the carpeted wall around the water manifold and see everything that's going on.

Elliott raises a good point.  If this coach still has the original tank sensors (Javalina/Audit with pressure transducers), they could easily be wrong, inoperative, or incorrectly calibrated.

Javalina/Audit is no longer available or supported.  Switching to SeeLevel is a better option if this is the case.

Or, you could open the drain valve for the fresh water tank and see if water comes out.

I'm with Elliott - remove the beauty panels in the wet bay and expose both ends of the holding tanks so you can see what's happening.  If the coach is in "rough" shape this will likely be necessary at some point anyway.

The fresh water tank is translucent plastic.  You can see the actual water level in the tank if there is any question.

If coach has a history of water leakage, you will eventually need to verify the condition of ALL the water pipes in the system.

Water leaks in Foretravel coaches are often associated with expensive and time consuming frame repairs.  Search the Forum for info on this subject.

I agree.........his tank is full and he doesn't know it. The OP ask for info yesterday and hasn't responded. Guessing he figured it  out.

Can also once exposed use a bright flashlight and put against the side of the tank so it is only shining inside to see the water level easier.
