Another microwave replacement

Thanks to the previous threads on this, the wife and I successfully replaced the original microwave. The plastic bits had become unrepairable. We picked it up a year ago but never got around to mounting it. With mom coming in for the holidays, it gave us a reason to get er done.

The hardest part was finding the screws. We had 5 of them, the two long angled ones and three up top. Thanks to those who posted details and pics on how to do this.

I kept the control board if someone wants it, just pay for shipping. The rest is thrown out.

There are two Sharp units that fit the bill.  The one shown is the R1881LSY.  It is a micro/convection w/broiler element.
The other is the R1874TY Micro/Convection w/o broiler element.  Interesting they are both the same price on the Sharp site.

A question to those who have done the deed.  I know the "normal" Sharp installation (residential) has the two long angled bolts from the bottom, though to the top of the rear mounting plate.  I see a comment about "three other fasteners".  Are they from the top down?....something added by FT during the install?  Fact is I could not understand just the two normal long bolts being sufficient in a motorhome installation.

I have a U320 3620 and the power junk and micro outlet are in the cabinet above the micro.... Are the additional fastener behind the "stuff"?

All that said, if top support is part of the game, then a GE Advantium would also fit the bill as it's a Micro/Convect/Broiler.  In later FTs and many other high end coaches, that was the Micro installed......

There is a video on YouTube showing the process of a Sharp replacement in a SOB.

The Advantium is a bit more involved as a replacement for the original Sharp models used by Foretravel.  You need to modify/adapt for the ducting since it won't line up and you'll need to tweak the damper a little.  It's also significantly heavier than the Sharp, so cabinet reinforcement is a good idea Advantium Oven

One of the Sharp features is the door hinge is NOT at the edge, so the door opens fully when there is wall that sticks out on the edge of the microwave. Others brands may also have a door handle that keeps the door from fully opening against a side wall.

It is a R1881LSY and was a direct fit for my old 1874.
