Air connections

1998 u295 has 2 air connections at rear of coach  1 under hydraulic pump area  driver side  1 on passenger side  both are in line with tow hitch  so are accessable    is one for special purpose maybe ?

Likely one was for an air-powered toad brake. M & G for example: Products Page | M&G Car Braking Systems

Going to hazard a guess that one is for a tow brake (M&G or AF1), especially if plumbed through a ping tank.  Second one could be for using the main engine compressor to air up tires (I know FT had those located in a bay in 2003) - if not OEM a previous owner might have added it.

Like Bret said, one for toad brakes and the second is "likely" a connection to plug in shop air if not what Michelle said. Easy enough to tell, plug in a air hose and see if the hose charges with air.

One is probably plumbed in before the air drier, that's where I put mine for airing up the coach
from my shop compressor so the air is dry and in mine it is a male connector with a valve behind
it. One my coach the other is a female connector for Air Force One.  Jerre if you have a leaking
female connector change it out. My Air Force connectors were crappy so I change them out for
stainless connectors.

Or you can get one from Home Depot for around $5.00. They have 3 different types.  Make sure you get the kind you have. Look at the male connection on your hose to figure out the right one.

And I would suggest getting a brass coupler (NAPA P/N is brass) so yo don't have future leaks due to corrosion.
