Dash recover

Has anyone completely removed the dash panels for them to be recovered?

Our dash was recovered by Infinity in NAC.  It was done before we bought the coach.  Different style dash from yours, of course.  They did a real nice job.  Don't know how much they had to disassemble the dash.

Bruce,

We recovered ours on our 1993 U240 (same style as Chuck's).

We did not remove the wood.  Just stripped off the old covering and padding. Made a pattern and cut out high quality, thin (sorry don't remember the thickness) plywood to go over the original. Then used slightly thinner padding and recovered the plywood.

Looked OE and functioned as it should.

I pulled all of them out of my 2001, but was going do to do some work behind the dash....the main large area, other than the handle when you enter the coach and a few other screws was all held in by Velcro. The part around the gauges, a few screws here and there held it in then it popped right out. As for a recovering, in the case of ours I stitched up a dash pad/cover to protect the original.

We recovered dash on 94 Grandvilla. Pulled off old material and foam. Made a pattern using tin foil for first pattern then cardboar for panel next to windshield, cut new plywood, and pad and attached new vinyl. Toughest part was the drivers side dash. Took some sewing and staples but looked pretty good.  Used spray glue to attach foam pad to wood. Trying to attach pics but not working for me. I can e mail pics of the process.

Had mine recovered down in Rocky Point by Munoz, as well as the seats and valences, 4 years ago. They still look new.
