Adjust throttle cable?

While installing the new fuel shut off solonoid, the mechanic noticed the throttle cable was loose going to the throttle body lever to the fuel pump.
Took it for a test drive, and he feels the engine "sounds like" it can deliver more power as he can move the throttle body lever more even with the gas pedal to the floor.
I've read about that cable breaking, and while I'd love faster acceleration, I DON'T want no acceleration should the cable break.

What kind of throttle activation do you have on your coach?  If you have an air throttle along with Bendix cruise control, then you should check the condition of the throttle control cable.  My original control cable outer sheath was disintegrating, causing loss of throttle lever movement.  I rebuilt my OEM cable, resulting in definitely better throttle response and full throttle lever travel (added about 10 mph to top end...not that I would ever speed).
