U295 step conversion at Xtreme Graphics

We have a 2002 U295 with the OEM single step that is designed for 6' or taller people (LOL). My short legged wife is so "over it".  In searching the forum - all the posts are quite old.  However. it seems that Xtreme Graphics is the only option. They are currently charging about $4,600 for that conversion.  That is a tough pill to swallow.  Are there any other companies that forum members have used and trust for this conversion.  Thanks

Build  # 5989
Former:  Alpine Apex (2006 Prototype), Fleetwood Discovery LXE, Berkshire 40 XL

I was talking to FOT parts about needing a new motor for my steps. Told me it was $400+ for the motor and gear box.  He then told I should be lucky I don't need the complete replacement steps since they were around $4,500 now.

Don't know if Extreme uses the same steps as are on the IH45's

We use a 4 legged metal platform. 99 bucks beats 4500 bucks in spades, anyday

Is it the Quikee that has 2 steps and comes straight out? If so That is what Xtreme put in our coach at the recommendation of Roger. My wife needs it and sometimes even the step addition that Erniee uses.

Which is used in the ih45 also.  Steps are heavy duty.

Make a filler block like other have done to raise the height of the flip down step. OEM step is a simple trouble free mechanism, and step conversion is drastic modification with more moving parts.
