TV / VCR Power

Now that my generator is working for the first time since I got the coach, I was trying to get the front TV and VCR to power up and neither will power up. While on shore power they work fine but on generator power, nothing. Fridge, microwave, cabin AC's all work, everything else seems to be fine. I talked to Wayne about this today but I have not yet looked over the schematics for the transfer relays yet or where the TV & VCR is plugged in. The TV has been swapped to a flat screen but the VCR is original. All breakers under the bed are good.

I would like for the TV / VCR to work while traveling with the genset running. Any ideas?
Thanks

It's unclear whether you mean just with generator running or also with main engine running.

There's a device behind the TV, at least with OEM installation, that prevents the TV from operating with the ignition on.

Does the TV and VCR work the inverter. The TV Won't work with the engine running.

Check the 120v circuit breakers under the bed.

These questions will help you diagnose what is preventing TV & VCR from working all the time. Does VCR look like it is working when TV does not work? While parked, do TV & VCR work okay, and then not work when ignition is turned on with engine running or not running? Did TV & VCR work when not plugged into shore power AND inverter is turned on powering other 120v appliances, with ignition off? --- With OEM wiring, there is an electric outlet in the cabinet space above the windshield that powers devices in that area. Outlet is controlled by bathroom GFCI. So, when TV & VCR does not work, do things plugged into GFCI outlet work? To conform with laws in some states, TV is not supposed to turn on in a moving vehicle. So Foretravel plugged in a removable ignition-controlled relay into the outlet that powers the TV. Unplug the relay and plug the TV directly into outlet. There is also a 12-breaker on the panel in front of the co-pilot seat that activates the relay. Disconnect the wire to the relay and the relay will think ignition is off. Do not watch TV while being the driver moving the coach down the road, otherwise more than the TV-VCR could stop working. . .

Thanks everyone. So to clarify a little more:

With gen. running only, no shore power hooked up, No TV / VCR.
With gen. off, no shore power, invertor on or off. No TV / VCR
Replaced the Bathroom GFCI plug today, nothing changed

To the safety concerns, no, I will not be watching TV while driving, I cannot see it as it is pretty much right over my head. Purpose of this question is: if we stop somewhere with no shore power, we might want to watch TV and / or while I am driving, my wife might want to watch something on the tube. This is not something that I have to have but more so something I just want to figure out and see it I can get to work on the Gen. alone.

I will follow-up your suggestions and hopefully that will yield some positive results.
