Hydro-hot on electric delivers very little hot water

Hello Everyone, We have a relatively new to us 2007 Nimbus 336 with the hydro-hot system. The diesel burner works perfectly and you never run out of hot water. The electric part, even when left on overnight, only delivers about a minute of hot water before going cold. Any help or a place to start would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance

I have the Oasis system on mine. This is out of the owners manual. Maybe you have a bad or going bad element. There are two on my system. Regardless I get the idea that the electric elements were not designed to provide 100% of the hot water demands.

Neils, you have the baby Aqua Hot which has 1/3 the heat storage of the big Aqua Hot.  Hot water for more than washing your hands requires the diesel burner to be ON.

Using a clamp on amp meter, place the meter on one of the wires going to the electric element.  If the control thermostat is calling for heat, Heating Status light in on, the draw is 12 amps.  No amps is open circuit to the element.  Check high limit thermostat for the element.  If good, check resistance of the element, should be 9 ohms.
