Happy 14th Birthday to Foreforums!

Although the prototype appeared in April 2010, I have always considered May 11, 2010 to be the day Foreforums began, because that's when we announced the website/domain:  Board ready for testing

For those not familiar but curious about the history, this is the post in old Yahoo Group that inspired us to step up The Group's Future

So raise a glass and let's all share in a virtual "Pourtravel" celebration for the best forum on the Internet, all thanks to you, the members who make it just that  ^.^d

Steve & Michelle, That post brought back lots of good thoughts, going back from that 2010, and great appreciation going forward for Steve's skill & drive, and Michelle's always on top of keeping Steve and membership informed, all to be the best of the best. . . And the so familiar names of the members who replied was quite moving as we no longer see their names anymore. Now for the next 14 years......... Thanks for the trip down memory lane, Barry & Cindy

Thanks to Steve & Michelle and all those who have worked hard providing Foretravel owners and wannabe's with the opportunity to post on this forum --and to those who have posted.
I have seen a few great forums that had priceless information and conversations disappear and I hope this one never does.

This forum has helped untold numbers to help them solve problems. There's no telling how many non members solve their problems via this forum also.  Thank you Steve and Michelle.

Big thanks to Steve & Michelle for saving the Forum before the Yahoo group imploded. For those that are new comers Scott started the Forum back in about 2001 and we were lucky to have 1 post every 3 weeks. Now it is one of the best run Forums on the web. Now this brings up another thought, the forum as we have now has been around longer than it was during the Yahoo days.  Thanks to all that makes this Forum happen behind the scenes so we can double the age and beyond.

I came to the Forum in August 2010 and I can't measure the help it has been to me while owning 2 FT's. Steve and Michelle have been as constant as two people can be in providing this Forum. I've never been very good with words but sometimes things just need to be said and thank you seems to fall short. Well done also falls short but for the lack of words WELL DONE you two.

One thing that has not been mentioned is this forum is membership and  AD FREE.  It costs money to run a forum.  Internet costs , programmers, and computer servers don't come free.

I can not remember ever Michelle ever bringing this up.

The one way that helps pay for cost of this site is if you use the link on the main page down low to access Amazon before you make a purchase then Amazon will give them some money for this.  I have the link bookmarked so it is easy to bring up whenever I am figuring what I am going to purchase next.

To save anyone the trouble of finding the link, here it is.  If you use this link before purchasing is the best way to say Happy Birthday Foreforum.

Amazon Link to use.

Now this brings up another thought, the forum as we have now has been around longer than it was during the Yahoo days.

Here's a fun statistic I just dug up - The Yahoo Archive, which contains all the posts made in the Yahoo Group, has 43,322 posts.

Foreforums has (as of right now) 415,667 posts (that count doesn't include above archive).

The difference between the Yahoo Foretravel forums and what you did with this format is night and day.  You and Steve  made all the difference in the world bringing the Foretravel tribe together!

And thanks for doing the same with the Lazy Daze forums!

We joined the Forum before we found our coach in 2012, and have been so thankful for the resource.  I'm not sure we would have wanted to own a coach without the support of everyone here.

We appreciate Steve and Michelle's effort more than we can express.
