Aux Compressor/front air tanks

Hello few questions:
Is the aux compressor supposed to keep a min and max pressure in the air tanks when parked?

I have a pin hoke leak in one of the front air tanks. Trip planned next week so I cleaned the area and applied JB weld but will need to replace the tank (s). any recommedation on where to obtain the tanks?

For those of you in FL and recommendation on who can replace them?  With all those airlines valves etc beyond my scope.

Thanks

Good Morning Woodie,

If your '93 U300 is plumbed like our '93 U280, then the answer to your first question is "No".  On our coach, the HWH 12V aux compressor output goes directly to the front and rear 6-pack manifolds.  It is not designed, or sized, to be able to keep the brake tanks pressurized.  It's only purpose is to assist the HWH Auto Level function in maintaining the proper coach attitude.

The brake tanks are not unique to Foretravel.  They are similar to ones used on millions of over the road 18 wheelers.  If you could take a few photos of your tanks, and record the dimensions, then you might check around your local area with the companies that supply truck parts.  See if the counter sales person can match up something close to your tanks from their catalog books.

As for actually getting the tanks replaced, you might try calling Paul Yasbeck 815 three eight two 0869 in Leesburg Fl.

Paul is listed on the Foretravel Service Center Referral List:
