Busted airline fitting at governor

I'm chasing down an air issue and started by replacing the governor. While removing the old one, the fitting on the 1/2" airline sheared off so I am going to need to replace that and probably extend the line a little bit. These look like they are crimp on? What parts exactly do I need to be searching for? I'm not sure what it's called and I assume I need a tool to crimp it.

The line with the yellow zip tie is the good one and the green one is the one that I busted off

Elliot, they are 1/2" female swivel hose ends, JIC. Most likely crimped on and you might be better off replacing the complete hose instead of buying a crimping kit. Take the fitting with you to make sure you get the right degree on the fitting. Some are 45 deg and there are others.

Craneman once again was very patient with me as I asked question after question on the phone and I'm pretty sure we got it figured out. I ordered one of these in the end: Amazon.com: EVIL ENERGY 4AN Hose End Fitting Straight Swivel for CPE Braided...

The fitting actually threads onto the hose and has a tapered bit that is inserted into the middle to secure it.

When I took my apprenticeship that was the only kind fittings that we used. There may have been
crimp on fittings but I never saw them until later. The nice things about that type of fitting is that it
can be done almost anywhere.

I guess I should have asked about options before I went and bought a crimping tool for my AC hose.
The good news is , the hydraulic crimp tool cost about as much as the shop was going to charge to do it. And now I still have the tool.

To me it looks like a push on fitting.  You can get the hose and fittings from any hose or fittings place.

Another brand would be Aeroquip, can get them in swivels and for Eliot, the part that goes on the hose itself has reverse
threads to screw on the hose.

Elliott,

If that hose is original, consider just replacing the whole hose.  At 37 years old, it has done its duty.

X2-- any hose that is that age will be deteriorating inside with age--yes you can crimp on another end fitting but don't be surprised if a month or two down the road it blows the new ned off the hose.  I had a new hose made for our coach--well worth not worrying about it!

Thanks guys. I'll add replacing the line to my list but I'm doubtful it'll get done before we leave for the summer next Saturday. Me breaking X every time I start to fix Y has me scrambling a bit at this point

Fixed and working like new. Thanks again guys.

P.S. i'd be lying if I said I didn't sit there for a minute fighting the fitting that goes in the hose before I remembered John's comment about it being left-hand thread. I should probably just quit doing work early in the morning
