Basement drawer issues

One of my basement drawers has some issues.  I searched the forum and YouTube and couldn't find the answer.  Help!

1.  Drawer will not exend completely;
2.  Drawer will not lock closed.

There are several types of bay floor-mounted slide out platforms, and ceiling-mounted drawers. Do we need more information? Floor mounted slides can cause problems if something gets stuck under.

Do you have something still in the drawer that could be hanging it up?

Nothing in the drawer blocking it. I crawled under it and one of the slide rails does not move from the back. I fiddled with it but didn't want to "horse it" too much and risk breaking it if there is an easy fix.

One of our drawers was not sliding like it should (the latch was fine).  The ball bearings starting falling out.  I pulled it all the way out and cleaned up the gummy slides and then put the bb's back in as I closed it.  It seems ok now.

I have two of those factory installed drawers.  They've never had a problem so I haven't needed to fiddle with them...so far.  Just jinxed myself.  :'(

That said, I have messed with other similar installations.  The type of extension drawer sliders used can vary, but they all work about the same way.  One common problem area is where one of the slider rail mounting screws or bolts can loosen slightly, causing the head to protrude.  When this happens, the inner rail extension can hang up or get stuck on the loose fastener.

Try looking closely (as well as you can) at the "stuck" section and see if it is catching on a protruding bit of mounting hardware.

If you look closely at your latches you will see when you close it there are two catches in the
bottom that go down when you close the door and then pop up to holed the door closed.
Check on that.
