Generator Exercise Frequency When Parked

This is the first year, in the seven years we've owned our coach, where we are parked for the entire summer.  In past years we were on the road 4 to 6 months a year and ran the generator every 3 to 5 days, often when we were on the road for air conditioning.

I understand from previous posts that it's best not to run the main diesel engine unless you're able to take it on the road for at least 50 miles. We made certain that the fuel tank was full and our additive and algicide were in the tank for the summer and we don't plan to start the main engine again till we leave in November.

Since we're hooked up to shore power there's no need to run the generator this summer. What is the recommended exercise frequency and duration, however, for the generator.

Thanks

We run ours for at least 1 hour once a month under load to properly heat the windings and dry them out.
