Heart inverter panel readings

We just installed new house batteries this morning and currently on the road. The inverter panel is reading 14.55 - 14.6V and 10.4amps on battery 1 and for battery 2 it's reading 14.6V and 10.4amps, generator is running and both AC units are running. We are a bit concerned that these voltage readings are a bit high.  We are not familiar with inverters and would appreciate input from those of you who are.  We have about a 4 hour trip today and would appreciate your insight.

You need to verify that your inverter/charger is properly programmed. Can be done from the remote.

Also, there is not ONE voltage that is correct.  The charger section starts out in BULK MODE with higher voltage, then tapers off voltage to that established for FLOAT MODE.

Programming is covered in your inverter/charger owners manual or on-line for your particular model.  VERIFY IT IS CORRECT for battery type (wet cell, AGM or gel) battery bank size (in amp-hrs) and ambient temperature (unless you have a remote battery temperature sense sender on the battery.

Can you verify the readings with a volt meter and which panel do you have.

Why didn't you tell us what type of new house batteries you bought. AGM & GEL have different charging requirements. Heart charge/inverter is probably OEM, old, worn, and could fail anytime, also inverter is not true sine wave, which can stress some devices. Before you need it, decide what you would replace the Heart with and how you would install a replacement.
