Splendide Replacement

Our Splendide 2000 finally spun its last spin. Thinking we'd rather upgrade than fix.

What's everyone using and do you like it?

We would go 100% with the latest Splendide combo unit (unless you have room for the separate ones).  They're designed to withstand the vibration of going down the road.  If you notice, many of the SOBs that previously installed compact apartment units have gone back to Splendide.

ETA looks like it's the WDV2200XCD WDV2200XCD Vented Combo - Splendide Laundry Centers

Vented will dry much more quickly (which is relative - it's not quick) than the ventless model.

My 2100 required an offset exhaust adaptor. Vent location moved versus the 2000.  No info on 2200's rear vent location. Readily available part if memory serves me

Just installed a new washer and separate dryer. Splendide machines. The old ones lasted 11 years of full time use. In your search be careful of the size measurements most other machines are about 1" too deep to allow the cabinet doors to close.

I agree with Michelle.  We had a Splendide 2200 installed three and a half years ago and have loved it ever since.  The 2200 apparently has a similar dryer exhaust as Bob's 2100.  The floor in the closet where the Splendide was installed was eight or nine inches above the coach floor so we were able to lower the closet floor by several inches to allow the exhaust to vent directly out the side of the coach without an offset adapter.

I believe the offset adapter is needed when going from an existing 2000 installation to a newer model where there's already the hole and exterior dryer vent.
