Any out standing issues with '09 Nimbus's

My wife and I are transitioning from a long rig that's been home for four years now. We have found an '09 42' Nimbus and it appears to check the majority of our boxes. Just wondering if someone would help us with questions to ask and hoods to open.
Thank You,

The only concerns I'm aware of for an '09 Nimbus are:

delamination, usually shows up first around the rear slides and rear endcap.  It's a pricey repair if needed, but if already done by a shop like Xtreme, or at this point if there's no sign it's needed (15 year old coach), you should be good.  Just watch those cut edges around the slide openings, etc., and make sure they are inspected annually and sealed if needed

and

engine valve weakness if it's a pre-DEF 500 ISX.  That's also a costly rebuild when the valve(s) drop.  If an ISL or a leftover 500 ISM, no worries.

(by pricey and costly, I'm talking 5 figures)

Re: Any out standing issues with '09 Nimbus's Slide Outs!

The slide outs on these coaches are maintenance extensive and repairs quickly become expensive. You want to ensure they are working properly. The hydraulics, bladder seals and controls. You want to check that they are square in the openings and that the top brackets are set to take up that center bowing which will cause them to leak when open.

Model year 2008 is when the Nimbus matured. The 42 ft is awesome to drive. The ISM 500 and Allison 4000 along with the disc brakes make the coach easy to drive.

I acquired this 2008 last March. Now hooked hoping to go newer someday.

Send the link for the coach you are considering. I may be familiar with it.
