things learned yesterday and question today

Things learned yesterday
1. The tech help for motorcade members is GREAT!  I hadn't heard good things and it was my first call and I'm really impressed.
2. On a 2014 IH 45 the HWH slide controller yellow flashing then solid light is timed not necessarily on  a sensor.  So it isn't the gospel of the slide is ready to move that I always thought it was.
3. Dint have your coach warming up while pulling in the slides or  you can't hear the auxiliary air compressor while doing the front slides.
4. Its not hard to jump the system in an emergency and get a slide in.

Today's question
1. Does any one have a recommendation of someone that can replace the seal on the front drivers side slide in or close to Ohio?

Thanks

On a 2014 Ih, unless modified, or a check valve is leaking,  the auxiliary compressor is what airs up and deflates the bladder. Auxiliary compressor not running and you will have no deflation or inflation of bladders.

The auxiliary compressor also is where the door locks get the air to operate.

On the 2014 coach's, I'm not 100% in agreement that the yellow light staying solid is based on time. I know some model years are time and some are amount of vacuum. When I get back home I will have to look at the modules.

The tech from Foretravel told me that was the case on mine and "they only did that a couple years"  I had accidentally discovered this while trying to diagnose the issue and having my wife cycle the other slides.  I stood out by the air compressor bay and the light would flash and then go solid with out the compressor ever coming on.  Which made no sense to me.

I knew the pump had to run, but I didn't worry about having to hear it because I thought the light was based on amount of vacuum.

Just looked at the manual. Solid light is based on vacuum switch.

There are times that there is enough air in system that the compressor may not need to run.  You may have a bad check valve and that will let air from the main or rear air tank fill the HWH bladder tank..

See attached picture, the orange wires go to the vacuum switch right at the output of the modules. These orange wires are what you would short together to make the HWH control think that there is enough vacuum for the slide to operate.

Yep that is what he had me do to get it in.
