Little Compressor Issue - ???????

Having a strange issue with the little compressor that's driving me crazy.
Everything has been working fine, and then all of a sudden when parked, the compressor would start running, then cut off, run a second, then cut off, run a second then cut off , and continue to do this 4 or 5 times then would shut off.
Then, after about a couple of minutes or so, it would run about 30 seconds and then do the on/off thing again. It just continuously does this.
    A.  I can't figure out why the compressor is turning on to begin with. The system has full pressure (95 to 100 psi), so why is it even turning on to begin with?
    B.  I have tried bypassing everything I can think of, and still get the same issue.
    C.  There doesn't seem to be any leaks anywhere, and all the solenoids seem to be opening and closing properly.

I have replaced the Pressure Switch Box and the Essex Relay.  All electrical connections clean and tight.
Another strange thing, I would drain off pressure from the system to see if the compressor would kick on, and for a few cycles it would only go up to 65psi and the compressor would just keep running as if the Pressure Switch was not working.  I though maybe the compressor wasn't putting out enough pressure and I even replaced the compressor with a new one.

This one really has me stumped.

Do you have a slide?

Aux compressor keeps the slide tank pressurized - you might have a leak in the slide plumbing.  First thing to check is the quarter-turn shutoff valve for the slide (if you haven't replaced it with a ball valve).  The OEM valves with the black plastic knobs are notorious to leaking.

I didn't realize that there is a separate slide tank. Would you know the location, and what that tank looks like?
I do have a Viair tank that I assumed the previous owner added. That tank does get filled by the little compressor and watching the gauge on it, it doesn't seem to be leaking down.
Now you have me wondering if maybe there's a leak after that tank for the slide.  Other than the bladder, is anything else air related on the slide?  The bladder sems to be holding air fine.

Would anyone happen to have the air plumbing schematic for a 2001 36' with slide ?

Mark,

On a 34' that is that vintage that I have worked on that tank is hid in the most impossible place to get to.
1 you need to look above the front axle and behind the 2 main air tanks.
2. you will be looking for a cylinder that is about the size of a 80cf SCUBA tank.

My slide tank of that vintage had a pinhole leak.  I replaced the tank, it was quite a project, still tracking down leaks.  The slide tank is in the front just behind the generator on my 2002 4020.

On my 2008 Nimbus it appears that the leveling system can call for the compressor overriding the pressure switch. I had an experience where, after the coach was leveled with difficulty, it settled, and the system tried to raise the left front. The suspension was topped out and the compressor kept running popping the relief valve. I could see that burning up the compressor so I will look to change that. For now, I am more careful of leveling conditions.

There is a very nice detailed schematic of the air routing system inside you big White FT Binder, its part of the owners manual with all the system colored tabs.

It's my understanding that the HWH controller will only attempt to level for a limited time (maybe 15 minutes?).  The compressor should be continuous duty rated.  I know it gets extremely hot but I'm not sure if that's a problem.
