Good source for Ultraleather and deco fabric remnants for DIY coach projects

I came across Upholstery Fabrics - Discount Upholstery Fabric and Remnants Wholesale –... recently in my quest for fabric options for the headboard project I'm planning for our coach. 

Great prices on the Ultraleather remnants - I paid less than $20/yard for a couple of 2 to 2.5 yard pieces (54" wide), which is about 1/4 the going rate for yardage.  They have some really nice looking wovens as well, and there are options to buy samples first for just a few dollars.

They shipped right away; fabrics rolled on a tube to prevent creasing and encased in heavy plastic.  Very reasonable shipping charges as well.

Nice find!
We have used Joann Fabrics Official JOANN™ Fabric and Craft Stores Online for good deals on fabric. They have lots of discount coupons, end of roll, etc. We took our U300 sofa bottom and back to Münoz in Puerto Peñasco with fabric from Joann. I did the front with drawers with a Harbor Freight air stapler. Foto with temp gun is a close up of the fabric.  Yes, the fabric is pretty hot but the gun temp is of the chinese diesel heater outlet after 7 minutes.

Sadly, the closest JoAnn Fabrics is over an hour away, although rumor is they might open one about half an hour away.  I don't think they carry Ultraleather, though.  Only a handful of online retailers do.

I also use https://www.fabricguru.com/ for home dec fabrics, plus Drapery Workroom & Upholstery Supplies | Rowley and WAWAK – Finest Sewing Supplies l Since 1907 for other home dec supplies (Rowley's pricey, but they do sell retail and smaller quantities of things, where many sources are geared solely to professional workrooms).  Wawak has fantastic prices on supplies.

Michelle-  Great tip and great company; Toto Fabrics Upholstery Fabrics - Discount Upholstery Fabric and Remnants Wholesale –...  Highly recommend.

We've used them twice for Ultraleather projects around the coach, dinette seats, recliner chair and slide room header, (replace carpeted header).  They have some big bolts of remnants and really fantastic prices.

If you don't find what you need on thier website, give them a call... We were looking for a very specific ultraleather color and texture, and a big remnant needed for the header and chair project. The person who helped us @ Totofabrics said only a fraction of thier supply was listed online. Within a week, received a message that specifically what we needed, they had!

Awesome!  I found a texture I like but they didn't show a color I wanted.  I'll ping them.

I've only played with it a bit, but Ultraleather seems quite easy to work with.  I'm using a domestic machine, 110/18 jeans needles (trying 100/16 when those arrive today - would prefer a slightly small needle hole) and Tex 70 thread and it's stitching perfectly.  No marring from the foot walking foot during topstitching (I do have a teflon foot and a roller foot arriving tomorrow just in case they were needed.)

I have green monster envy. We bought a sewing machine to do some upholstery work but the thread always gets wrapped around underneath and I can never get even an inch of stitching done.

Not sure what you have - do you mean the thread is catching in the bobbin area?  Is the bobbin in correctly ("p" vs "q" as appropriate for the machine)? 

Mine's a Janome 7700.  I've done everything from quilting to home dec with it.  I don't need an industrial (nor do I want to deal with an oil reservoir), but if the 7700 couldn't handle it, I'd look at a straight-stitch-only Janome HD9 or maybe a Juki TL (the -18 with the micro-lifter if I was doing thick layers).  Both take industrial feet, which have some great options for upholstery (and bag-making) projects.
