Locking Pin Receiver Drain

The two locking pin receivers that are near outside edge of living room slide in our 2000 U320 have a compromised drain system.  The drains for the receivers are plugged or otherwise do not drain except into the slide roof.  During hard rain and wind, water will fill the pin receivers and one of them leaks into the ceiling of the slide out, eventually leaking onto the sofa from the light fixture.  The water should drain out the exterior bottom of the slide floor in center of slide.  However, the tubing or whatever is being used, is no longer functional.  Anyone else have this problem?  Any ideas on how to deal with it?  Access to the drain tubing?

So first I would pull the awning back to get easy visual access. The pocket need to be vacuumed out. Mine were filled with mud dauber nests. Once you got the cleaned out you will find there is not a drain hole in the bottom. It's in the side. Using a wire or scribe clean out the exit till it is clean. So if your drains have become disconnected you will have to remove everything nessasary to access and repair. I feel that you will find similar  to mine that the outer skin is no longer bonded good to the receiver causing your leak. I'm going to refer you to my prior posts and pictures. It's a crappy design and everyone who has it should inspect for delaminating and proper sealing. I'm going to guess that your drains have become fouled but your problem is the failed seal at the receiver and top skin

Wow Scott!  I'm blown away by your ability to do this work yourself.  Great write up on both post.  You have convinced me that when repair time can't be put off any longer, Extreme will be my first stop.  We are full time in our coach and do not have the facilities or the ability for a job like that.  I wish I did.  Thanks for sharing.

I think you could clean the area off and put a layer of flexible tape over the skin and onto the receptacle. Cut out the center hole for the pin. This would temporarily prevent water from seeping in. Should clear the bladder during cycling. My gap was so big spiders had made a nest behind it. Terrible design
