At least being a 2026 will help with the depreciation.

Are new motorhomes like new cars, which are said to depreciate 10% the minute you drive them off the dealer lot?

On a 1.8 million dollar sticker, that's a pretty hefty hit.  :o

Not something I would ever have to worry about...fortunately or unfortunately, depending on how I'm looking at it.

Something that doesn't get mentioned with these higher-dollar coaches (of any brand) is the challenging finding insurance that will cover the full value.  There was discussion a couple of years ago on iRV2 regarding the purchase of a new Realm Presidential for $1.2M, and the owner couldn't find any company that would insure above $1M.

That might be a problem for 1.8 mil.  but the one that sold for 1.2 mil was worth less than 1 mil. when it pulled on to the street. Don't we love how the older ones have hit near the bottom of depreciation?

If you paid 1.8 mil for a bus the insurance shortage shouldn't bother you .

If a person can afford to pay that for a motorhome, depreciation is probably not an issue....

I would think most buyers of new high-end coaches would be wanting Full Replacement Cost coverage or Agreed Value (price on the bill of sale) if that FRC wasn't available in their state for the first few years.  Depreciation wouldn't matter (although insurance cost would be obviously higher.)

I agree, at that price point a Prevost would be in my thoughts as well.

Good point.  Prevost service centers are much more prevalent and reportedly quicker at turn-around than Spartan service centers.  Either way, you're dependent on Foretravel or the Prevost converter for house-related issues, so that aspect is moot.

Really like the multi dimension paint. I would put a set of wheels on it and a clean shirt for myself and go to town.

As Foretravel approaches this price point one could consider something like this.

Of course, the MSRP and the actual purchase price may not be even close. I have to wonder if the ride and handling are even comparable. I test drove a 2006 Featherlight Prevost a couple weeks ago. Yes I was impressed.

Its a beautiful coach, but the price does put in competition with Prevost conversions and Newell.  I guess that if you wanted something new and now, you could get a Presidential but would have to wait quite a while on the others.

If you look at current inventory at the only dealers selling new Fortravels they are being offered for much less. Some even near or just under a Mill.  Take off 30% from MSRP and you're at $1.2 or $1.3 Mill.

So, how much can that Superior Coach be discounted?

Very nice, keep up the good work guys and gals.
I see people questioning the price.  I have owned three new 45' Diesel pushers in about 1.5 years and bought my first DutchStar in 2005.  First off it's a prototype (my hats off to Foretravel for showing off new goods) you can also see a 2025.
2. 1.8 mil is list that means you can buy it for around 30-40% off that price.  I was at Liberty Coach last month looking.  If you order a new Prevost you will be over 3 mil.  They have a nice 2023 used for 2.6  I like my 2025 Foretravel better and it's a much better value.
3. I have not found any reasonable insurance company that will go over 1m.  You self insure over that.
4. If you want new you are going to have a high depreciation in any coach.  The higher price coach many times depreciate at a lower percentage.  But I can't take my money with me when I die maybe you can.  I want new so that's what I did.
5. Compare Foretravel to any King Air, Prevost conversion or Newell and Foretravel wins in all categories except the chassis and I don't need a 2 million mile chassis.
6. I have many more reasons that it would take several pages to list.    One is the awesome people at Foretravel  Every single one I've dealt with have been incredible.
That's my two cents.  John D

Also, I wanted to clarify the Prevost at over 3 mil is your sale price not list price.    And the 23 I was talking about the 2.6 million is your price sale price not list.
