1994 Foretravel U260 sofa seat removal

Hi,  :help:
We purchased a '94 Grand Villa U260 and need to fix a busted water hose under the mini sofa and need to fold up the seat bottom or remove the whole thing.
Any suggestions???

Welcome to the ForeForum.

Fortravel made a U225 (Cummins B 5.9 liter engine), U240 (Caterpillar 3116 engine) and U280 (Cummins C 8.3 liter engine) among others that year. No U260.

Which one do you have?

If the sofa is like that on our 1993 U240, the bottom portion can be easily unbolted for removal.  Be sure to mark what part goes where so you can reassemble.

There are 4 nuts holding the seat to the mechanism.

That leak may be from the water pump. Regardless where the leak is, water has probably gotten into the bassement and could cause bulkhead trouble. You can read more about that here.... Bulkhead Repair-- A Comprehensive Look.
